Welcome

APC began during lockdown in 2020 as a way to keep the joy of dance alive through online classes when the world needed connection the most. APC quickly grew, and in 2021, APC Studios was officially founded.

In January 2022, we opened the doors to our very first studio, a cosy space filled with big dreams, laughter, and the beginning of something very special.

As our community continued to grow, so did our vision. By April 2024 we had outgrown our original space and started renovating our new home and in September 2024 we moved into our brand-new, larger studio where we continue to inspire creativity and support every dancer's journey. We were also lucky to make this move alongside our lower school at Little Wings, who are dedicated to nurturing younger dancers.

From an online class to a thriving dance community, our story is still unfolding and I am so grateful you’re here.

Miss Amy is the Principal, Founder, and heart of APC Studios. Her love for dance began at the age of three, and from that moment, it became her lifelong passion. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to dancing, choreographing, and teaching and finds her greatest joy in sharing her knowledge and experience with others.

At the age of 21, Miss Amy completed her Diploma in Dance Education and is now fully qualified with the ISTD in Ballet, Tap, and Modern. She is also Acrobatic Arts Certified, PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) Accredited, and among the first members in the UK to begin training in the latest Injury Prevention for Dancers qualification a pioneering program designed to protect and enhance dancers’ long-term wellbeing.

Her commitment to professional development sees her regularly attending workshops and training courses both across the UK and internationally, ensuring her teaching stays fresh, current, and inspired by the best in the industry. Miss Amy’s passion for empowering dancers has been recognised through two consecutive nominations for the Westcountry Women’s Awards, and even more so through the thriving community she’s built at APC.

She founded APC Studios with one clear vision: to create a supportive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every dancer feels safe, seen, and celebrated. Her goal is not just to teach dance, but to help each student build confidence, find joy in movement, and believe in themselves both inside and outside the studio.

Thank you for being a part of our APC family. We’re so excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to share this journey with you.

My Expertise

After successfully auditioning at the age of 17, I was offered places at a number of professional colleges in and around London and chose to continue full time training at Stageworks Performing Arts. After a long term injury I returned home to North Devon in 2015 to continue my professional training with the ISTD. I went on to teach dancing in my local area until 2016 when I decided to further my dance education.

At the age of 21 I went on to study my Diploma in Dance Education, as well as this I also became Acrobatic Arts Certified at the beginning of 2017. I currently continue to study and further my knowledge and skills, regularly attending workshops and courses both in the UK and internationally. I am incredibly passionate about keeping in touch with current styles and trends of dance and love to be inspired by other incredible professionals.
