I struggle with my body image and self confidence, and in all honesty it happens every now and then, but this week has been a tough one for me 🙃.
Everyday I’ve just looked in the mirror and just thought “ugh” 🙄.
People always say “You’re so confident, I wish I could be as confident as you.”
Truth is, I can be confident because I have taught myself how to be in certain situations but my self confidence and body image takes a knock every now and then, which is totally normal for everyone 😇.
Which is exactly why I am so passionate about nurturing dancers and skyrocketing their self esteem and confidence🥰.
It is important to recognise what can trigger a lack in confidence.
My triggers are👇🏻.
😡Hormones.
🤯Stress.
😴Lack of sleep.
🍩Poor diet.
🤳🏼Too much Social media.
🏃🏼♀️Lack of activity.
👗Always wearing sweats.
The BIGGEST lesson I have learnt is that it is HOW you react which is the most important🙏🏻.
Rather than wallowing it is important to pick yourself back up and be kind to yourself🤩.
🧐Remember, it is all about having a positive mindset, having control over your thoughts and turning your negative thoughts into positive ones. Reaffirming this is vital.
Things that help me feel more confident 👇🏻.
💋Pampering myself. (Perhaps a face mask or doing my nails).
👣Going for a nice walk (usually by the sea).
🍉Making better food choices.
💤Getting an early night.
❌Limiting my time on social media.
💃🏼Getting dressed up.
YOU have the ability to feel better if you address the reasons WHY you feel unconfident❓.
Be kind to yourself, do nice things for yourself and most of all look after yourself❤️.
Your confidence won’t be sky high 24/7 but overcoming the blips is how you grow in confidence 🌿.
So here is me dressed up on a Friday night with some makeup on, hair up, fresh nails and a new dress...and I feel FAB. The best I have felt all week. 💁🏼♀️
If this happens to you, get in touch let’s get that confidence back 💌.
Have a great weekend dancers. You are all beautiful ❤️.
